Tired as you wanna be.

Are you tired? Are you really? The bible declares “As a man thinketh, so is he,”  Prov. 23:7. We must be careful how we speak and even more importantly, what we think. In a very casual way we go about life allowing all kind of thoughts to enter our minds, never realizing that what we think becomes what we are. Our mentality shapes and manifests our reality. When we come home everyday from work or whatever we do and we speak the words “I’m Tired” our body follows suit and it plants a seed that continues to grow. Now sure we exert energy and get physically exhausted but to internalize that idea and make it a statement of habit what we do is make ourselves vulnerable to a less than life. A less than life is a life that is never about fulfilling its maximum potential because we literally talk ourselves out of it by claiming and reclaiming that we are tired. We become less than what we were intended to be, less than who we believe we are, less than able to accomplish the things we have been empowered to accomplish, less and not more! remember that we are more than conquerors through Christ Ro. 8:37.  I use to come home from work or from teaching bible study and say “I’m tired” what I discovered is that by continuing to speak that I allowed my body to follow suit and just because I said it that would give me somehow the liberty to sit, lay, kickback. and I found myself doing it on a regular.  What I had to do as a result is to shake myself and wake myself and realize that physically I need rest but as the Lord has said, ” come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. We need physical rest don’t get me wrong but the danger of making that statement is to forfeit the possibilities that are pregnant inside of you awaiting to be birthed. We begin putting things off for tomorrow, procrastinating, and living in a maze of mediocrity. So be careful what you speak because you will become what you say. Now are you really tired?
