Are you tired? Are you really? The bible declares “As a man thinketh, so is he,” Prov. 23:7. We must be careful how we speak and even more importantly, what we think. In a very casual way we go about life allowing all kind of thoughts to enter our minds, never realizing that what we think becomes what we are. Our mentality shapes and manifests our reality. When we come home everyday from work or whatever we do and we speak the words “I’m Tired” our body follows suit and it plants a seed that continues to grow. Now sure we exert energy and get physically exhausted but to internalize that idea and make it a statement of habit what we do is make ourselves vulnerable to a less than life. A less than life is a life that is never about fulfilling its maximum potential because we literally talk ourselves out of it by claiming and reclaiming that we are tired. We become less than what we were intended to be, less than who we believe we are, less than able to accomplish the things we have been empowered to accomplish, less and not more! remember that we are more than conquerors through Christ Ro. 8:37. I use to come home from work or from teaching bible study and say “I’m tired” what I discovered is that by continuing to speak that I allowed my body to follow suit and just because I said it that would give me somehow the liberty to sit, lay, kickback. and I found myself doing it on a regular. What I had to do as a result is to shake myself and wake myself and realize that physically I need rest but as the Lord has said, ” come unto me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. We need physical rest don’t get me wrong but the danger of making that statement is to forfeit the possibilities that are pregnant inside of you awaiting to be birthed. We begin putting things off for tomorrow, procrastinating, and living in a maze of mediocrity. So be careful what you speak because you will become what you say. Now are you really tired?
In the Bible God declares to Moses on Mount Sinai “I am that I am” suggesting I can be whatever I want to be! If I want to be Love then I am, If I want to be peace then I am. I would declare to all of us, if you need strength, healing, deliverance, God say’s I am, THAT! I AM! And if God will do that for you, then you must be somebody.
The question is Do you have confidence anywhere close to this? Well you should, because you were created unique. In fact you are fearfully and wonderfully made. I heard a song once that said “I’m just a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about somebody, who can save anybody.” Well I like everything except the initial introduction. Simply because if we think we are nobodies then that’s probably what we are. Why can’t we be somebody? And from that perspective tell others that they are somebody too. I think our young brothers and sisters need to see these kind of role models in their own communities, their own neighborhoods, and even in their own homes.
Yes I Am! I might not be what others think I should be but “I am”. “the bible teaches us “as a man thinks in his heart so is he” Prov. 23:7. I would venture to say “I think therefore I AM. An old Asante Proverb says ” I am because we are, and therefore we are because I am”. We all are somebody, If we would only think like somebody, I believe we would act like somebody. Just believe in yourself. It is not good enough for others to believe in you, you have got to believe in you! Your own abilities your and your own strengths. Sure I believe in you, you are not a victim you are victorious, not down and certainly not done no matter what your age may be. Just believe with confidence.
Listen ” If you think you beaten you are, If you dare not you don’t, If you like to win but think you can’t its almost a cinch you won’t, if you think you’ll lose you already lost, for out in the world we find, Success begins with a brothers will, and its all a state of mind, I you think you are outclassed you are, you got to think high to rise, you got to be sure of yourself if you’re ever gonna win the prize, life battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man, but sooner or later the one who wins is the one who thinks he can. What do you say about you? Take a good look at the man in the mirror. If you lack the confidence, ask him to change his ways, no message could have been any clearer. (Thank You Michael)…Listen, I say you are! And I am an “I am” too.
What is happening in the fast paced technological world we live in? While his O’ness is lobbying for health care. This world is going through a health scare. To what extent will society go to look good. There is an increasing weakness with those who are desperate and impatient with the natural development of the human body. Too many women are gravitating to dangerous and degrading methods of physical enhancement. Even men who want to be long and strong fall for the false enticement to extend their pleasure.
Botox, hair weaves, press on nails, contact lenses, breast implants and many other forms of accelerated applications sometime leave life altering damages. The truth is there has developed a market of masked misguided medical frauds who are greedy for a quick buck and will without any conscious, perform with malpractice anything you think you may want. This false perception of perfection is making women lower themselves in an effort to look like a magazine model, and in a of case end up looking like a train wreck.
To look more “bootiful” women are turning to the black market and paying a serious price, and suffering permanent damages to themselves and some are ending up in the graveyard. To what extreme will women go just to get ‘That Look”. These vultures who prey on low self-esteem will inject cheep glycerin that comes from a hardware store into the buttock, breast and lips. Naive women today are maimed for life and even murdered trying to attain in their eyes, perfection. What ever happened to “everything is beautiful in its own way?”
Listen you got the look! Genesis 1:26 is tailored to teach us that we are created in the image of God. So the next time somebody tries to sabotage your self-esteem by criticising you. Tell them I am made out of the same stuff as your momma, and if you don’t like the way I look then you don’t like your own mother, your sister or daughter. Every “Body” has flaws, and there is always some “body” who will love you just as you are. Externally people seem to be so dis-satisfied, and as a consequence externally because of embarrassment will go to great lengths in an effort to overcome this bad taste. But I encourage you to not to become bitter but become better by loving you.
However by diabolical design women continue, even with the consequences hanging over their head, vivid as the scorching sun go to great lengths to become perfect. I am persuaded that the statistics will continue to grow simply because too many of our already lovely women, precious and beautiful gifts from God are Dying To Be Perfect.
